Bigger Character Avatar

Created by a user named congbinh, this mod is simple but effective. As the name of the mod suggests, it simply increases the size of your character avatar when playing Project Zomboid.

While this may sound like an odd requirement if you've not played the game much, it can make all the difference when attempting to get through a horde of zombies or navigate through a dark and tricky zone. It's a small quality-of-life improvement that's worth picking up.

There are several Project Zomboid maps which can be modded into the game and Pineville stands out as one of the best. Coming from creator Konstantin_Anana's on Steam, this modded map is perfect for Project Zomboid fans who want something new that still feels authentic to the game.

The Steam Workshop description for this mod notes that it tries to "not stray from the style of vanilla cities" and that, while each building was handcrafted, they were made with the original models of Project Zomboid in mind for a cohesive feel.

Map mods add new locations to the map which can be a great way to spice up your next playthrough. This particular map includes:

Paying homage to Untitled Goose Game, this ridiculous mod is unmissable if you're looking for a lighter Project Zomboid experience. The evil geese are suitably silly but can still portray a very real threat, especially if you're playing a custom run with trickier settings.

The geese are customizable, too, which means you can affect elements like their run speed and interactions when setting up DIY runs.

Rain Wash

This NoctisFalco mod is another deceptively simple one. As the cover image shows, it improves the functionality of rain in the standard Project Zomboid game.

More specifically, this mod allows rain to slowly wash away blood and dirt on the following elements:

• Your character's body
• Clothes
• Equipped bags
• Equipped weapons
• Attached weapons
• Your character's vehicle

Additionally, this mod gives you the ability to perform the action of washing in the rain as an alternative to using a bath or a shower.

This is a very logical mod. Outer layers of clothes will get wetter quicker than inner layers of clothes, for example, and dirt on clothes can never be fully removed by the rain alone.
