Floor Plans 1 For Unique European Style
The arched opening at the entry stairs leads you to a covered porch before you enter the home. After entering the foyer space, there’s an arched opening to the right that leads you to a formal dining room with a wood box beam ceiling. In the middle of the ceiling, a round opening looks up to a library that’s located above. It’s an ideal location for a grand chandelier, as shown in the photos. To the left of the foyer, double doors open into an office space with a vaulted ceiling.
As you move further into the foyer, you pass a spiral staircase on the right that accesses the upper library, and you walk under a skylight that brings in light from a dormer above. The foyer then opens up to a large and open living/kitchen space with a curved wall of windows in the great room that look out to views at the rear. The ceiling line in the great room rises to a 20′ flat ceiling and slopes down at the rear wall, which is accentuated with wood beams. A central stone hearth holds a fireplace and space for media, and is flanked on either side with glazed doors with transoms above them. The doors look and walk out to a curved, covered deck with a succession of arched openings that look out to the views beyond.
The great room is open to the kitchen and breakfast nook area, both of which have a 10’–high ceiling. The huge gourmet kitchen features two islands, one of which accommodates a double sink, and each provides abundant counter space. An arched opening from the kitchen leads to a vestibule that accesses a walk–in pantry and butler’s pantry before opening into the formal dining room. At the breakfast nook, sliding glass doors open onto a partially covered smaller deck, which brings in natural light and plenty of ventilation. A staircase to the lower level is located between the nook and the great room, which further separates the open rooms. A large stone arch at the breakfast room looks into a cozy hearth room with a fireplace at one end that’s flanked with windows on either side of it, and features a vaulted ceiling. Sliding glass doors from the hearth room open onto the rear covered deck.
From the kitchen, another arched opening leads to a central mudroom with a coat closet and room for a bench. The mudroom accesses a large laundry room with a utility sink and a powder room, the garage space, stairs to the upper bonus room located over the garages, and a door that opens out to the secondary deck. An arched opening leads you to a small hall that has sliding glass doors that open and view out to the secondary deck, bringing in natural light to the hallway and mudroom. A door at the end of the hall opens into a guest suite, with windows on two walls, and a private full bath with both a shower and a tub, and a pocket door that opens into a walk–in closet.
Before entering the great room space, an arched opening off of the foyer leads to a powder room and the master suite. Double doors open into a huge master bedroom with a fireplace to warm the room, and a ceiling that slopes up to a 12′ flat ceiling in the center. At one end of the room, sliding glass doors open onto the rear curved deck, while the other side of the room features double glazed doors that walk out to a semi–private patio space that’s enclosed with a 2’–high wall. A hallway from the bedroom leads to a walk–in closet, a laundry room, a bigger walk–in closet that’s divided into two spaces, and a luxurious master bath. The bath features a private toilet room, two separate vanity sinks, a large shower, and a raised, round whirlpool tub that’s surrounded with five windows to provide the bather with multiple views and natural light.
The upper library space has a 7′ ceiling with a partial barrel vault at the double doors that walk out to the ‘Juliet’ balcony. The space above the two garages and carport sit under the slopes of the roofs, and provide 1,921 SF of additional space for building out or for storage. The space above the carport provides two large windows at either end that not only bring in sunlight, but open up the roofline at the exterior.
If you choose to build the basement level, you gain another 2,935 of living space! After coming down the stairs, you enter an open billiards/recreation room with a curved wall that mimics the one above. A fireplace is located in the center of the wall, and is flanked with windows on either side of it that look out to the rear covered patio space and beyond. A wet bar is located against one wall, and a pair of doors next to the bar open into a home theater, which has its own private bar. A powder room is conveniently located next to the staircase. This level also features plenty of space for storage, a golf room (if needed), an exercise room, a private vault (or wine cellar), and two bedroom suites. Both bedrooms feature a walk–in closet and their own private, full bath, while the suite located next to the exercise room also has a nook with bay windows that look out in three directions, and its bath features two vanity sinks, a private toilet, and both a tub and a shower. There is additional unfinished space where the original owners planned to have a future bedroom, which you can choose to leave unfinished or build out according to your needs.
