Then come and join our global team and write your master thesis - modeling medical imaging systems with asset administration shell.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- This thesis explores how to use Asset Administration Shells (AAS) to model Diagnostic and Therapeutic Imaging Equipment (DTIE), aiming to understand the methods needed to create detailed digital representations of these systems. The research is divided into three main sections:
- You review thorough literature and assess the latest methods and standards in Asset Administration Shells (AAS ) use. By combining current knowledge, you establish a strong theoretical foundation and identify key challenges and opportunities in medical technology
- You analyze potential use cases where the AAS approach can be especially helpful. This involves identifying and examining various applications in the medical field where digital twins and AAS can improve efficiency, data integration, and system interoperability. Use cases may include medical device maintenance, real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and enhancing diagnostic accuracy and personalized treatments. Your analysis will highlight specific scenarios and quantify the potential improvements from AAS implementation
- You do practical implementation based on a real-world use case. This involves modeling a specific diagnostic imaging device using the AAS framework, using real data and validated simulation models to create a digital twin. The case study assesses the implementation process, measuring the required efforts and demonstrating the benefits in areas like maintenance efficiency, data integration, and system interoperability
