Tamil Nadu Exit Polls 2024 Live Updates: INDIA alliance to win 33-37 seats, with BJP making inroads, predicts India Today-My Axis exit poll (2024)

The India Today-My Axis exit poll on Saturday predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party would win one to three seats in the southern state, which would mark the first time the saffron party makes headway in the Dravidian stronghold.

Meanwhile, the DMK-led INDIA alliance in the state is set to win 33-37 seats in the state, retaining most of its position.

Tamil Nadu went to polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, to elect 39 members to the 18th Lok Sabha, with voting taking place on April 19.

According to the Axis My India exit poll, the BJP-led NDA is expected to win 2-4 seats in Tamil Nadu. The INDIA bloc, which has both DMK and Congress in it, is set to win 33-37 seats.

The exit poll predicted a marked rise in NDA's vote share in Tamil Nadu which is expected to go to 22 per cent. INDIA bloc is predicted to get 46 per cent. Tamil Nadu sends 39 MPs to the Lok Sabha.

According to News 18 exit poll, NDA is expected to win 1-3 seats in Tamil Nadu while the INDIA bloc can win 36-39 seats in the state.

In a post on X, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin said, "Our INDIA bloc, formed to defeat the ten-year fascist regime of the BJP and save India, has met the expectations of the people and stands on the cusp of victory. It has rallied a formidable coalition of democratic forces against the BJP, who thought there was nobody to challenge them. This alliance now offers hope to all Indians in the electoral arena."

"Through relentless campaigning, the leaders of the INDIA bloc have dismantled the false image the BJP created in the public sphere. With just three days remaining until our impending victory, I urge our cadre to remain vigilant during the vote-counting process," he added.

Polling for the earlier six phases of Lok Sabha elections was held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20 and May 25. Assembly polls have also been held in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Odisha is seeing simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha and assembly in the last four phases
