Lexington to hold 80th-anniversary D-Day event
A special program will be held in Lexington on Thursday to honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Most people don't realize Lexington has ties to the area around Normandy. Lexington and Deauville, France were among the first cities around the world to become sister cities in 1957. The Lexington program will be held at the Kentucky Theater at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, and it's free and open to the public.
